My VGN-AR21S CD/DVD/BR drive does not operates well

After running an update of firmware (v1.06) for my Matshita BD-MLT UJ-210S drive it does not recognize anymore DVDs etc. Obviously the problem is that I have Windows XP not Vista that this update refers. Previous version (V 1.05) did not have any problems.
I tried to run old version 1.05 but it is impossible, because now drive needs a newer only version than 1.06.
Could anyone help me to come back probably to my old version, as my laptop now has a great problem without an operating DVD drive? ("Roll bak driver" is impossible too)

Unfortunately your kind help did not solute the problem, dear Blencogo.
It would be great if Sony give us the solution to go back to v.1.05...
Is there any other help, please?
