My new Vaio VGN-FZ11S laptop has Windows Vista Premium. I am trying to use the Media Center Extender feature on my Xbox 360 but am having issues with my Vaio's WiFi.
My laptop is normally connected to my router by WiFi and my Xbox 360 is by a wired connection. I have registered my Xbox 360 as a Extender device on my laptop and have tried it using an all wired connection and everything works fine.
But when I use my laptop through WiFi, my Xbox 360 connects up to Media Center fine and I am able to start playing music or something but then after about a minute, my laptop literally turns it's WiFi off itself. The WLAN light on the front of the laptop goes off and stays off until the Xbox 360 has finally closed the Extender, the laptop then turns the WiFi back on.
I am able to surf the internet on my laptop without the WiFi turning off so I can't understand why I'm having this problem.
I have even tried turning my Norton Firewall off but that didn't make any difference.
Is it something to do with Windows Vista, some security measures or a fault with the Wireless drivers.
Can anyone help? Thanks
I've just been trying Media Sharing using Windows Media Player 11 with my laptop on WiFi and my Xbox 360 on wired connection and everything works fine with no problem so it is just a problem with Media Center.
I am having the same problem with my FE11S, have you found a solution?
