Hi could someone tell me how to make revovery disks?
I've gone to All Programs > Vaio Recovery Tool > Vaio Revovery Utility.....but it says the recovery partition has been deleted.
Hi Matt_Roche,
Have you formatted the hard drive?
To check whether the partition is still there, go to Control panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management.
In addition to your C and D partitions you should have a partition without a drive letter assigned.
Thanks for the reply. I followed what you said but I don't quite know what i'm looking for? It has in there:
Recovery Partition - Partition - Basic - NTFS - Healthy (Eisa Config') etc
Vaio - Partition - Basic - NTFS - Healthy (Active)
Vaio - Partition - Basic - NTFS - Healthy
Hi Matt
If you maximise the page that Rich directed you to, what capacity and free space is displayed for your Recovery Partition - Partition - Basic - NTFS - Healthy Eisa Config..?

Hi Matt,
When did you purchase your Vaio..?
I think you need to open a case with Vaio-Link..
Yeh I have but they take ages to reply so I thought i'd take it up with you guys first. I bought it just under a month ago, it's not a big issue is it? If I ever should require those discs couldn't I just get them from sony?
Hi Matt,
Yes you can obtain a recovery disc set form Vaio-Link but at a cost of approx £65..
