Hi everyone.

I have ordered a Vaio Laptop VPC-SB4C - Configurable, which I am awaiting delivery.

Does anyone know if the Small power unit VGP AC19V51 is compatible with it? Although very expensive it does look like a good long term purchase.

Hi Rob,

The power adaptor supplied with the VPCSB series is VGP-AC19V49 which has a power output of 19.5V 4.7A. The accessory VGP AC19V51also seems to have an output of 19.5V 4.7A so it would appear that this is compatible.

As this assumption relies on unconfirmed information it may be worth a call to Sony (Freephone 0808 178 2466) just to confirm.

It is compatible. I have already tried it myself and it works perfectly with VPC-SB4C - Configurable. It is a pretty good investment indeed.
