How to use DVD-RW

I want to use rewritable DVDs on my SZ1XP with Matshita UJ-832D drive, but can't see how to do it. Do I need to buy third party software (suggestions?) or is there somthing under the Vaio menu that will do it? BTW I just want to read and write files, not create videos with singing and dancing menus.

Hi Good Music

Your Vaio SZ1XP should have Roxio DigitalMedia SE 7 pre-installed, if so this program would allow you to burn DVD-RW disc's.

Some of Roxio was there. I uninstalled and re-installed and it works.

For anyone reading this in the future, you can burn, erase and re-burn a DVD-RW in its entirity with the pre-installed version of Roxio, but you cannot add or delete individual files without erasing the whole DVD. There is a $70 upgrade to give full r/w capability.
