How do I disable tracker thingy please?

Hi,
I am very new to notebooks and would prefer to use a proper mouse. I have bought a wireless one with a dongle, but don't know how to disable the built in thingy. Does anyone know, please?
Thank you.

Hi nanof2 and welcome to the forum.

Click Start > All programs > Vaio Control Center > Categories tab > expand Keyboard and Mouse > Double click Built-in pointing device and uncheck “enable” > click OK.

Hi nanof2

To make the process easier you can create a shortcut to VCCPointingDevice.exe onto your desktop..

1. Right-click an open area on the desktop, point to New, and then click Shortcut..

2. Click Browse.

3. Browse to C:\Program Files\Sony\Setting Utility Series and then select VCCPointingDevice.exe from the list of files, then click OK and then click Next.

4. Rename the shortcut to something more user friendly and click Finish..
