I wonder if anyone can help me please. I am having trouble connecting wirelssly to t mobile hotspots in the UK. New Vaio TZ computer works well on home wireless network however in public networks it shows full signal strength but limited connectivety. Could this be something to do with the vaio smart link thing? It is very annoying to have an ultra portable laptop and then not be able to get on line!
Sorry to sound stupid, but you have registered with T-Mobile and are using the details given to you? Otherwise it would connect, but deny you access to the services due to failed authentication.
yeah I did register! I called the t mobile tech support too and they went through all the stuff but couldnt resolve the problem. Thats why I wondered if it might be something to do with the vaio quick link thing as I set the location to public so maybe this is restricting access both in and out?
