Help needed please.no power to my laptop

Help needed please.no power to my laptop.I pluged my Vaio into my car adapter today to use it on my GPS.the adapter was set at the right voltage but the wrong polarity,and something popped.Now the power cable wont charge or work my laptop.
Please help...

yes it powers up on what left of the battery charge,but it wont recharge the battery or run of the mains...it runs ok on the battery now but when it runs out,it wont recharge it.I did smell a little burning.but it still works on battery..HELP PLZ

Hi are you here to help me,Is there away to undo the BIOS password,remove the cmos battery,If i had the motherboard service manual,I am sure i could repair it myself knowing what capasitor has blown.
£200.00 to repair a faulty blown power supply.
I need help .so do you just want me to pay out lots of cash for a repair,that i guess can be done much cheaper.I guess you work for SONY.
