I have just bought a superb Vaio but the computer clock has a mind of its own! It never keeps the correct time and the date is constantly changing on its own. Any ideas how I can correct this?
Hi derek0349 and welcome to Club Vaio.
What have you tried? Have you set the Date/Time/Time Zone? Are you connected to a Time Server?
Run through this procedure: -

If that does not work, come back and tell us when this happens - is it when the computer is first started? It could be many things like the CMOS battery but I expect it will be something simpler.
I have tried everything suggested. The clock and date is wrong everytime I log on to the computer. It is fine while it is running but when I shut down and open up again it is incorrect.
It sounds like the CMOS battery, which keeps the time when your Vaio is powered down, is either faulty or has a bad contact.
You will need to contact Sony Vaio-Link Support here: -

Or if you have just bought the Vaio, take it back and ask for a replacement.
