FE41M problems with sound

Hi there,
hope that finaly someone will be able to hlep me. My sound is terribly low on my laptop. I have updated the driver as I was adviced by Sony staff however it did not help. Does someone else have this problem before? How to resolve it. I can not watch any movies or listen music on my laptop as it is too quiet.

Hi anita689 and welcome to Club Vaio.

Try this one first and come back if it doesn't work.

When turning your Vaio on, tap repeatedly on F2 when you see the first (Vaio logo) screen. This will take you into the BIOS where you will find an option to set the speaker volume. Increase this to the maximum (6 I think), save your changes and exit the BIOS. Reboot.
