Hi
I just took out the GeForce2 Ti 64Mb graphics card that came with my RX203 and replaced it with a GeForce4 Ti 4200 64Mb card.
Beforehand, the fan noise on my PC would die down a couple minutes after switching on. Not sure why this happened but I liked it. This no longer seems to happen. Could it be the fan on my new graphics card which is now making all the noise? Can anything be done without melting the PC?
Thanks
John
John,
More than likely it is the new graphics card which is making all the noise, remeber these new cards need a lot of cooling, so no wonder the thing is quite noisy. The only route would be to add more case fans and go for some Zalman GFX card fans, which are like flowers. That seems quite an operation though to do all this work, all depends how crazy its driving you.
