I've been trying to find a solution to this problem ever since i bought this laptop. I have a Toshiba 42" Plasma TV (42WP56 ). The TV supports a 50Hz picture in its PC Link mode but my Laptop is only able to output 60Hz:

I simply get a plain black picture with some vertical flickers.
I've read on a website that other people with Toshiba laptops with the same shared graphics Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset Family are able to perform a BIOS upgrade which lets the refresh rate be changed to 50Hz.
Does this seem likely to solve my problem?
Where would I get a bios upgrade file from and the toshiba users were supplied files from their toshiba support download section?
Does anyone know of any other solution (some external adaptor of some sort)?
Has anyone solved this problem in anyother way?
