Hey,
I've just spent an age trying to find an email adress to mail support for a technical question.
I have recently bought a Vaio VGN-NR11S laptop and Sony KDL-32D3000 LCD TV.
The laptop doesn't have a HDMI output but I've got three on the tv.
Does anyone know if there is a cable available that I can connect from the 15 pin output on the laptop to one of the HDMI inputs?
Thanks in advance.
/K
Hi karllambert and welcome to Club Vaio.
No, you cannot connect the VGA output to a HDMI input on your TV because VGA is an ANALOGUE signal and HDMI is a DIGITAL signal.
Your D3000 has a VGA (HD-15 + audio in) input at the rear - so you can connect with a VGA monitor cable plus stereo audio lead from the headphone jack to the TV.
You should get a reasonable picture as the D3000 native resolution is 1366 x 768.
