club vaio white box

i have bough a new ar31s today and havewjust been updating vista online - not used it b4

can someone advise why the club vaio box that runs doesnt actually do anything - its just a white window

also - can i add more ram to this baby?

Scroll down to Club Vaio Patch and click on LINK.

Sony say in the specifications that maximum memory is 2048MB and is not upgradable.

re the RAM, i was hoping there was a way.....i'm not incredibly techie unortuntely. i know it has 2 slots, can you buy 2gb in one strip? and what would happen if i put it in?

probably a real dumb question as i misunderstand the fundamentals i am sure
