I have a Sony VPCF11M1E Sony laptop computer. The operating system is windows 7 Home Premium with service pack 1 installed.
Vaio care incorporates various tools for optimising the computer performance and in general they work well. However the Registry cleaner and Registry defragmenter can sometimes corrupt some files. In particular the Sony Media centre ceases to operate correctly and damage is also done to Windows Media centre. Unfortunately I am not aware of any program included with the computer that can rectify the problem, i.e. restore the registry to its original condition.
Sony provides updates to some of its programs such as PMB and Vaio Gate etc. One of the updates the Nvidia display program can cause problems with Photoshop Premier Elements, (the program will not shut down). This problem can be overcome by updating the device driver but this action can cause further problems with the DVD/Blue ray player software, i.e.Corel DVD.
