buy a new vaio??

i want to buy a new vaio, with a tv out functionality. (so i cant view pics on the tv)

can any1 give me some model numbers.

Most Vaios have S-Video so as long as you have s-video on your tv (most do) then they should all do as you wish. If you want HD resolutions through a HDMI connection then all the AR series have these outputs.

All the AR, FE, and FZ series have s-video outputs.

All vaios have a HD15 output which is the common connector to an external monitor.

The AR and FZ series have HDMI outputs for HD tvs.

if a bought a laptop with an s-video out, what cable/output would i need to view the image on a normal tv. e.g. scart? component? can you get converts for s-video??
as, not all tv's come with s-video, do they??

Why VAIO? Go for a Qosmio from Toshiba. Those are fully multimedia notebooks. And they offer quality that Sony has already lost.

Don't listen to lapnass Vaio are ace , they are the best laptops on the marcket , if you get a toshiba you are settling for second best !

Svideo is video only.

You can provide sound via a 3.5mm to phono like this one:
