Bluetooth not working on VAIO VPCEB3L1E

Bluetooth not working on VAIO VPCEB3L1E

Hi guys,

I can't manage to make my VAIO connecting with other devices via Bluetooth, I can't connect my speakers and any phone, it doesn't find any device.

I followed the basic troubleshooting guidelines with no avail, now I am going through VAIO system care check, but doesn't seem to get to an end.

It looks like can be a problem with the drivers? Any suggestion on how to go through it?

I already checked this page where is said that the my laptop has Bluetooth connectivity integrated.

Thanks.

Antonio.

Hi Antonio,

As far as I can see the only Bluetooth driver available on the support site for your model is the originally installed:

http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/content/cnt-dwnl/prd-comp/Broadcom_Bluetooth_Driver_6_3_0_5600_5352...

Just in case I have missed something have a look at all drivers available:

Hi Antonio,

Have you checked that Bluetooth connectivity is enabled in Vaio Smart Network?

Hey Rich, thanks for

thanks for the answer.

It was a problem with drivers, I have just sorted out.

May I ask you where I can find the updated version of the drivers in the Website?

Thanks.

Antonio.

Ok this helps. Thanks.

Since I have a related issue I am going to ask you something else.

I am trying to run windows 7 troubleshooter with no avail, in fact it detects other issues but doesn't seems be able to sort them out.

One of those is: Missing system base device driver, about which I don't know what is referring to.

From a blog I understood it could be something related to card reader of some sort.

Do you have any idea of what it can be and if so where to find the driver?

If I download Vaio update would it be able to get the drivers and updates missing?

I have attached screenshot of windows troubleshooting result.

Thanks

Antonio

Sorry about Italian, I run the Italian version, you should be able to understand though.

Hi Antonio,

The missing Base System Device driver will indeed be the memory card reader/writer. You will find the driver under Windows 7 Preinstalled drivers and Utilities under the second link in my previous post.

Assuming that you are running a 64bit system here is a direct link.
