Hi,
I am a "happy" owner of VGN-NR11M/S. Recently I have downgraded from Vista to XP.
I've manage to find all drivers apart from audio and function key ones.
I spend two days on that ...
I've tried newest sigmatel and realtek hd drivers but they are not working..
Any advice on that?
Many thanks,
Chris
Hi Chris,
welcome to Club Vaio..
Before you install the Realtek ALC262 High Definition you first need to install UAA High Definition Audio Class driver KB835221 hotfix
I have attached the KB835221 hotfix to this post..
If you don't have the Realtek ALC262 High Definition driver then download the N11 Original Drivers Package as this series has the same audio driver..
Thank you Thalamus but... yup there is always "a but"
Anyway, I had this fix from ms integrated with my drives.
Dont ask me why but they didnt work.
So what I have done, I've installed them manualy.
From Device manager, choose PCI Device, right click at the "PCI Device", update driver
path to driver directory then go "WDM"
after that Audio is working fine.
Thanks again,
Cheers
Chris
You're welcome Chris, that's excellent news..
