Hi all,
I have a Vaio VGN-P31ZK/R, it is a 8'' netbook, running Windows 7 and I tried for the first time (after 3 years of use) to run a full system recovery.
The netbook has its own recovery partition and no discs (no optical drive either way) so I ran the Vaio Recovery Center.
Rigth after restarting, Windows fails to even start re-installing, giving me the message that
"1.Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2.Choose your language settings and then click "Next"
3.Click "Repair your computer"
File: \windows\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe
Status: 0xc0000098
Info: Windows failed to load because the kernel is missing, or corrupt."
I do not recall if I had selected "Restore C: Drive" or "Restore Complete System" originally.
Is it possible that by selecting the second option, even the recovery partition is now erased?
But in that case, what kind of "Restore" is this?
If anybody has relevant experience I'd really appreciate it
