TV Speakers active due to Audio System communication failure

I'm trying to get Harman Kardon BDS 470 and Sony KDL-40EX721 too communicate via HDMI with ARC and CEC.

They are both connected to the correct HDMI ports( HDMI arc ) and I've tried several HDMI cables.

The problem is when I select Sound->Speaker->Audio System on the TV everything seems to work fine, but after about 20 seconds the TV prompts an error "TV Speakers active due to Audio System communication failure".

Anyone know of a solution or must I surrender and use an optical cable to make the TV select the external speakers.

I have exactly the same problem with a similar setup, expect that I have a Sony Bravia KDL 46D3000 and get the same error " same error message when i try to setup the HDMI and switch to Audio System in the TV settings.

Did you solve it Rune?
