Removal of VEWD TV Store

I notice Vewd is going to be removed from my Sony Tv.  Is it going to be replaced with something else? If not how am I to download apps I want/ need??

If refreshing internet content doesn't work, I'd recommend trying a factory reset in this case.

Does anyone know if it's possible to install some Linux programs/apps on the TV somehow? Are there any other HTML5 app stores that could be used with the built-in browser?

The devices run on Linux, so theoretically it should be possible to install programs (if there are any compatible ones), or run them from a USB flash drive, if one manages to get root access by exploiting some vulnerabilities. There is of course a risk of bricking the device and I'm sure it voids the warranty as well.

Another option would be to run HTML5 apps through the browser, so then it wouldn't be necessary to install anything. That's why I was wondering if any free HTML5 app stores exist.

Hello there. I'm from Turkey. I have the Sony smart TV KD-49X8505B. My applications also disappeared. It doesn't work. Change DNs, restore factory settings, update application etc. I did it all. There's only 18 of them left. Even though I have returned to factory settings many times.
