Laptop sound from HT-SF100 and KDL-40W3000

I have a KDL-4-W3000 TV connected to a HT-SF100 sound system, When i connect my laptop to my TV direct i am unable to get sound from the TV speakers. Can I connect the laptop to the HT-SF100 and get sound through there please.

Any help is great

Hi there

Whilst your laptop is connected via HDMI to the TV,

1 - Goto Control Panel on your laptop

2 - Goto Sound > and set SONY TV as the default output (you may need to enable "Show disabled devices" by right-clicking in the blank space)

thats assuming you connected via HDMI, if not then if you connected by DVI then let me know if you find a way to make the sound come from the tv instead of the laptop as i gave up trying to suss it out!
