Internet browsing on bravia kdl 40ex403

Hello I am trying to access the internet via the bravia but the internet applications icon is not there?  Please help!

Have you the latest firmware installed.?

1. Turn on your TV and press the  HOME button on the remote to display the Home Menu
2. Navigate to  Product Support category and press  OK.
3. Navigate to System Information and press  OK.
4. On the TV screen, the firmware version number should appear like this:   PKG4.114EUL-0108 - if the version number is PKG4.114EUL-0108 or higher you already have the most recent firmware

Have you tried resetting your Bravia..

Press Home on the remote & browse to Settings..

In setting scroll to General Settings & select Factory Settings..
