How can I connect a wireless headset to the 40HX853 if I connect it to the headset jack port it mutes the tv, as only one person needs a head set due to poor hearing ,

I think all TVs mute the speakers when you plug in headphones.
The only sure way I can think of is to use the Optical Output.
This would mean, as said above, getting a set of headphones capable of taking an Optical Input into the transmitter.
Alternatively a Digital Audio Converter would do the trick: -
One more thing to try. Your TV has a SCART Video Out. I have no idea if it would work but it may be worth trying a SCART -> AV converter and see if this works: -
I've got a sony MDR6500 connected to a 46HX803 via optical connection and this works fine, audio from both tv and to phones maybe you need something similar ie a set of headphones with it's own stand that connects to the tv and the phones receive audio from the stand/transmitter rather than from the tv directly.
I have a wireless docking station model. TMR-RF860R. I do not want to buy another docking station I just want to know how to connect it without losing the sound from the tv base speakers.

I have wireless speakers (not headphones) connected to my KDL-40cx523 to give me
sound in my kitchen and garage, but still giving me sound from the TV. To
access it on mine I went to the on-screen menu via the home button, then
settings > sound > headphone speaker link OFF. If you have the same on
yours it should work.
