My Bravia KDL-40W5810 is connected to my Virgin cable router by cable. My computer is connected to the same router wirelessly.
When watching a BBC iPlayer programme, the TV reports losing the internet signal at roughly 5 - 10 minute intervals. It regains the signal about 1 minute later, but I then have to reload the programme and scroll though it to find where it had got to. Simultaneously, the wireless connection to my computer also fails and then recovers.
However, as soon as I turn off the TV, the interruptions to my computer connection cease!
Virgin have already given me a new router, and changed the attenuator on its input from 6dB to 3dB, but have so far failed to affect the fault.
Can anyone suggest what is going on? is it Virgin's responsibility or a Sony TV fault?
