Bravia Sync between KDL46HX823BU LCD TV & STR-DH820 AV Amp

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can please help me. I've got a KDL46HX823BU LCD TV connected on HDMI 1, using a HDMI cable, to a STR-DH820 AV Amp connected to the HDMI output. Both these devices support the Bravia Sync control yet I cannot get the TV to discover the Amp.

Here's what I've tried so far.

Ctrl for HDMI: ON

Pass Through: AUTO

Audio Out: TV+AMP

HMDI Assign: Greyed out (Not in Use)

No devices detected. Please check the connection of settings of the device.

I'vr tried different HDMI cables, resetting both the TV and Amp back to factory defaults to no avail. I would be very grateful if anyone had any other suggestions please?

I have a similar setup - same amp but NX713 tv.

My setup works but with slightly different amp settings:

Ctrl for HDMI: ON

Pass Through: OFF

Audio Out: AMP

Although, if the TV doesn't detect the Amp when you enable a scan through the device list, I'm guessing the settings won't matter?

You say you've tried other HDMI cables and this may be a long shot, but are your cables HDMI v1.4?

Thanks for your feedback. I ordered a new 2m HDMI v1.4 cable which I tried earlier and Bravia Sync didn't detect that either.

I'll give your settings a go and get back to you.
