Anyone else have a yellow tint on their display?? I have it quite bad on the bottom of the display and both left and right hand edges of display running from top to bottom. Is it possible with a firmware update that this issue could be eliminated. J had read on one forum that ICS update SHOULD solve it. Something to do with the colour calibration. I have also heard that it could be to do with colour temperature of screen, or the glue that was used to put display together.
Any advice would be gladly appreciated as this is ruining my experience with this device.

If it is local, then try the store. You could maybe return it and then buy a different one. Repair center is the right place to go. I have even returned stuff to repair center before in the US.
Sony is very tricky with these kind of stuff (like all other manufacturers) so you have to find the right way.
When did you buy the phone? If it is returnable, then do it. If not, then contact repair center hopefully they can fix it ASAP.

tomorow is my exam and will be back after 6pm and service center close time is 6 pm

Could you push the temperature a bit higher? Mine has yellow tint when it hits 45+ C.
It seems that Sony would ignore the overseas victims in this disaster. It's really a pain experience. I may not use Sony products anymore.
I an so done with Sony. I have 2 Sony TVs two Sony laptops and the Sony Tablet S but the Xperia S support has been a disaster.
After waiting for almost a week to hear back from the support center in Hong Kong I got the following message:
Thanks for using Sony Xperia Support email service.
According to your mobile information, unfortunately your phone is confirmed as a non-Hong Kong official good, and the dealer is not our authorized retailer in Hong Kong. In another words, your phone’s warranty cannot be covered in Hong Kong. Customer Service Center does not receive overseas delivery repair case in accordance with Customer Service Center oversea delivery repair regulations as phone is non-Hong Kong official good.
If you have any further enquiry, please feel free to contact us again.Thanks again for your email.
The phone is a Hong Kong phone, it says so on the side of the box. Just an excuse to deny service. And I did not get the phone on eBay and emailed them a commercial invoice.
All the international buyers of the XS got screwed over by the yellow tint issue and Sony will not take any responsibility for it.
I hope that the US version of the will have the same issue so we all can start a class action lawsuit.

Now some fools here come and say, "It was your fault" I would say "keep that kind of crap to yourself".
I am sick of Sony and those none-sense folks which inject their crap instead of being human and helpful.
Sony, you need to change some policy for this mess you are have created.
This is the most bizzar situation Sony has ever created.
1) Selling infected devices as flag-ship end of Sony Mobile
2) Coming to Media and say, "only limited numbers are infected" while they know it is almost most of them.
3) Instead of accepting the issue and fix it, they are selling more and distributing more of them to retailers
4) Repair center have no parts nor fully working phones with no-tint screen.
5) Repair centers are not being helpful to give out warranty, while the IMEI number clearly says where phone was purchased and has warrnaty. No matter where you buy it from, phone was just released and should have warranty in that region no matter what.
and then you see Sony rep and Forum's Mod to come out and instead of helping feeding some generic stuff to everyone.
What has happened to Sony? Maybe Ericsson has left for some reason? Only god knows.
Shazam, I'm able to return the product for refund, the yellow tint on my screen isn't too bad, something I can live with, however fear it would get worsen overtime and no support since its bought in amazon.
I really like this phone and well, Sony phone all in all.....
This phone is release globally, meaning its making it way to USA right?
Still think whether I shoulda wait for a USA version(warrenty, and hoping the problem's resolve) or migrate to HTC One X.

Did you buy it actually from Amazon.com or third parties on Amazon? If YES to first one, did it also say US warranty on the head of listing? I checked it with US SonyMobile and it was made for Denmark and also got tint and I believe it gets wose over time.
If i were you, I would wait for Sony USA. HTC one X has its own issues so you won't feel any differnece except Sony design is better.(personal preference) US gets everything last. Maybe it comes around July time....
3rd parties lolz. Ive try running GTA its hot, with little yellow, to me its fine, not noticeable, and gone when cooldown, what Im affraid is say the yellow spread and get deeper over time, while say the heat is alway 45c.
I heard that Sony will have the screen to replace on 15th April, but now is on 20th, sony still have no action? How long do u wanna us to wait for? Tell us, where is the ******* Sony????
