Anyone else have a yellow tint on their display?? I have it quite bad on the bottom of the display and both left and right hand edges of display running from top to bottom. Is it possible with a firmware update that this issue could be eliminated. J had read on one forum that ICS update SHOULD solve it. Something to do with the colour calibration. I have also heard that it could be to do with colour temperature of screen, or the glue that was used to put display together.
Any advice would be gladly appreciated as this is ruining my experience with this device.

Now this is costumer service from HTC. Free replacement for chipping phones.
Nimche, don't get me wrong too, I totally know how you feel and agree with you. However, I am not an expert on Sony Mobile policy, but it stands to reason when the phone is sold officially in the USA, you may want to revisit the issue with them.
and you suggest me to pay another $180 to Sony to repair a brand new phone?
I spoke to SONY today, they confirmed that there is an issue and that I should contact my CSP in the first instance and if they refused to change the handset to get back in contact with SONY.
Two calls to 'THREE' later and a replacement new XPERIA S is on its way.
All I can say is contact your CSP and if they do not act contact SONY.
An amazing phone, I am one happy SONY customer :smileyhappy:.
just got mine last night...the screen is a bit yellowish across the display making colors / the overall display washed out... i dont have to find a white background (ie. sms, opening web pages), you can actually see the washed-out screen & yellowishness.... am afraid even i exchange, the new one would still be the same as it seems to be "common" issues...
Well, if the phone only has normal defect rates, I would say it is customer's responsibility to check clearly before bring aboard. However, in this event, Sony is the only one which is repsonsible for their faulty screen. Whatever excuses are just letting customers down and destroy Sony's goodwill. Sony admitted its their fault, which is good, but what their policy is just crap.
They use outsource company to take care the customer service, so they cannot guarantee the quality of customer service.
They promised for replacement of the faulty screen, but they don't have enough repair parts. The consequence is that all of us who bought a brand NEW phone has to wait for REPAIR service for more than 2 weeks. So what is the purpose of buying a NEW phone? The most ridiculous thing is Sony announced there are only limited amount of Xperia s be affected, so why do they bother for just calling back and replacing a new one for us?
Sony always emphasizes warranty is only valid in the local regions. Okay, I know that not every company provides international warranty, but I only agree if the product is in good condition especially for such large company. In this ridiculous case, I think Sony should launch some emergency policy but not to stick with the stupid standard policy.
I totally agree with you ryan328!!
I wish you good luck sexieboy1. Please don't forget to update us about your new phone after use it.
Heck, I bought a product from Sony Hong Kong, I am contacting them back to see if I can pay $100 is shipping this sh*t back to get it repaired.
It gets nicer every year around the same time when Sony comes up with some lousy stuff and destroys its picture in international market..
Ryan, what you said up there is all truth and logic but by looking at the forum moderator and other Sony Mobile support that I have seen here, I doubt Sony has enough gut to take care of their own mess. I love the part that they blame customers for their messy screen.
In couple more years, Sony CEO will come to media and say "we didn't take our own customers seriously"
i hate whats happening with the xperia S yellow tint issue. im planning to buy another low end android phone so that i can send this one white xperia s (saudi Arabia) for repair. unfortunately i read one user that yellow tint is still present even after screen replacement. now i feel some regrets buying Sony. im a previous owner of SE K710 xperia Neo user im im always disappointed. Sony when you will learn from your mistakes.... that is why you keep losing your loyal customers....
