After seeing the newly announced Android 4.4, which development has focused on optimizing the system performance and the creation of new APIs to improve application performance in general, moving the system fluently in 512Mb of RAM terminals, will there be an update an update of Xperia Type (ST21i) to Android 4.4?

Hey, I too have the same problem with my Xperia Miro. Android 4.4 kitkat is built for devices having RAM of 512MB(like Xperia MIro and Tipo) which fixes the lad and bugs. So Sony please please release android 4.4 for Xperia Miro and Tipo.
Just wait for the xda developer to make an custon roms running android 4.4 on miro.
People, you seem to forget that Sony is known for letting down software updates. There is nothing new and no reason to be disappointed. So I can hardly believe they will ever care to use HitKat for what it is meant, to update older and cheaper mobiles.

Before doing this make sure you have unlocked your bootloader and your warranty is void. Do at your own risk!

Europeans, beware that in Europe manufacturers cannot void a warranty if you root or unlock the bootloader on your phone. It is considered comparable to a computer. When you buy a phone or a computer it (usually) comes or does not come with an OS. In any case you are free to change or install the OS you like without voiding the warranty for the machine. In fact they are two different things. However, if you brick your phone you will have to pay for unbricking, just the same as with a computer that you blocked and can't unblock. In aby case, the warranty is always valid for the hardware, unless the you btake it yourself. Warranties are often very tricky, but don't mix hardware with software.
