Xperia Tipo Dual Proximity Sensor not working (Not Detected)??

Hello guys, I have the Xperia tipo dual. and I have a problem, my proximity sensor is not working or maybe it doesn't exist, some sites says it has but my phone on the *#*#7378423#*#* (This menu or something similar) Proximity sensor says "Not Detected" , Does it have or not? Because if it doesn't I must get a new phone :smileysad:, always in my calls I press buttons, mute the call, and everything, sometimes hang it up, because the screen doesn't go off.

Please help me up 😕

that's the Service Menu, what does it happen when you test your proximity sensor? post a screenshot

screenshot = press and hold volume down & power for 2 seconds

I've already told you but if you want a screenshot ok Dizzy_Face

It says not detected.

repair it with SUS if that doesn't do it, then take it to a sony repair center

I've done it and I saw that I made a mistake, when it still says "Not Detected" but when I put my hand over the sensor it says "Detected" XD.

I thought that it says the proximity sensor is not detected on the system.

So now I know the sensor is working whenever I put my hand, but on calls the screen never goes black

What's the problem? 😕

lol, then it does work, when you press those keys while making calls do you keep the phone next/touching your ear or in a pocket?

I've tried covering the sensor with my hands my ear the table my legs, everything the screen doesn't go off it's still on Slightly_frowning_Face but on the service test it says detected when I put my hand 😕

that's a bit odd. try a different Dialer app from the market. you should take your phone to a Sony repair center.
