Xperia T keeps switching off and on since last update

Hi,

My Xperis T keeps switching off and on since the last scheduled update to Android 4.1.2.

I have tried overnight charging whilst phone is off but the situation keeps happening.

Any advice or assistance woud be helpful, especially from Sony Techs Support please.

Can I reverse the update?

Regards,

Alasdair

Could not agree more with ccvanmarion. This is a problem which Sony have to fix. The first step in this is admitting that there is a problem followinging the 4.3 update. I called them recently to report the issue and they said I was the first to raise this, which is clearly untrue! The next step is issuing a software patch or instructing a downgrade to the previous Android version. My phone is not functional. I have raised this with my service provider (Three) who are passing me back to Sony.
I have been ingnored by Sony on Twitter but intend to try to escalate this both Sony and Three until it is sorted. Please consider joining me @vobrien01.

Same problem, phone shuts down after 60%, doing my head in as I miss important messages when I can't get a charger

I've had no problems with mine, had it over 18 months, but since the update, everytime I put it on charge at night it switches it self off, so my alarm doesn't go off in the morning, getting very annoying.

I'm getting the same problem in this week as well.   I take it there's still no resultion?  I've got 6 months left on this contract.  It's put me off buying another Sony as I don't trust the brand now.

I have the same problem. The thing is that a few months ago, i´m not sure but I think that was before the update, i remember that when the phone whas charging ang getting 99% a message apeared saing 0% battery and then it goes off.It was then when all the problems started. I´m desperate and i will try to change the battery and see if this will fix the problem. The phone is 8 months old and if it is in fact a battery problem Sony should recognize the problem. And sony, I think this is not the way to handle this issue, bad Sony!! Slightly_smiling_Face

@Ovy82 hi it's not the battery problem. If you want you can change the battery but it will not solve the problem. I've changed my battery but still the same. It's tge problem of the 4.3 android os. Install safe charge if you don't want your phone to turn off when it's 100% charged.

I think it ain't the upgrade fault. It is fault of power manager and certain apps running in the background. I have just turned it off and so far can use my phone without any problems, furthermore I think this problem has things to do with a programs running in the background ...from my observations I got that turnning off problem after allowing OneDrive app run camera backup service. After turnning off both of those services my phone got back into stabilized functioning mode.
