Hi,
My Xperis T keeps switching off and on since the last scheduled update to Android 4.1.2.
I have tried overnight charging whilst phone is off but the situation keeps happening.
Any advice or assistance woud be helpful, especially from Sony Techs Support please.
Can I reverse the update?
Regards,
Alasdair
Check if you have certain apps installed such as: Battery saver-app, Task manager, Task killer-app or Anti-Virus-app.
Uninstall those apps and see if the problem is solved
If problem still persists I recommend you to repair the phone software via Sony PC Companion:
Click on this link to get Sony PC companion:
http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
Start PC companion, start "Support Zone", start "Update phone software" and click on "Repair".
Follow the on-screen instructions.
I'm having a similar problem. I've just downloaded a new update, and then my phone starts at the sony screen, turns off, tries again and continues for what seems like eternity. It's been an hour so far.
I have the same problem. Have just updated to the latest firmware (141) and the problem persists. The phone seems to be fine when on charge which leads me to think its a hardware problem not software.
Ok this is annoying, switches off at 81%, and gets worse as the battery discharges, at 48% the phone is un usable, switching off, imediatly after switching on. I have done the pc companion repair, let me see it hepled 0%. Still switching off. It all started with the last upgrade.
Yep same issue here, been "managing" the issue for the last 2 weeks or so. What sort of age are your devices? Mine was purchased October and trying to work out if a software issue or my battery has just come to the end of its life.
Liek said before fairly stable until it gets to around 80% battery then just falls over every now and again. To get the device back on. I either have to quickly poke into airplane mode, turn off data sync and data. turn off airplane mode so I can call and text again until I can get to a charger(turning data back on may cause it to fall over I find the data sync being of help get data back up and running but not always.) or plug into a charger and turn back on.
Hi My device is only 6 months old. Issue with switching off started about a month an a half ago, about the same time as the upgrade. Sony needs to come with an explination, and a cure.
All devices has issues and growing pains, is how its resolved. Hope my unusable T will work soon
It is very strange how more and more people are complaining about this since the 141 update. Not sure if it is a coincidnce that the update came about as people devices are getting to an age the hardware is failing. Sony really need to give us and answer on this issue as it seems to be becoming a very common issue.
I can not believe that Sony have nothing to say on this issue.
If u dont believe a problen exists and ignor then ur phones can not suffer from any ellements.
Sony we need a solution
