Xperia SP won't turn on

As of yesterday my phone decided it would no longer turn on. When issue occurred all my running apps crashed simultaneously, the phone began a cycle of turning itself off or rebooting till eventually nothing happened. The LED light remains glowing and flashes when I try to turn back on along with vibrate but nothing else happens. I've tried plugging into charge but same vibrations occur constantly and no charging happens. Tried via laptop also but device isn't recognised.

1) Has anyone else experienced same issues?

2) Any suggestions before I take it into shop to try?

3) Is it completely buggered beyond me fixing it?

Many thanks

Make sure you have it connected at a wall socket.Force shutdown like this:

Turn it on.

Thanks that seems to have worked.. Issue must have been plugging into mains as I had an extension lead before.. Lights still stuck on at bottom but I can learn to live with that I guess..

I have exactly the same problem but unfortunately mine doesn't seem to be solved by forcefuly turning it off and then turning it on again when it is plugged into a wall socket. Also, the device (when forced to be off or when the led is flashing) is not even recognized by PC Companion. I don't get what happened, the screen turned off abruptly when I was browsing the internet few hours ago.

I hope I have missed a subtle but important point in the procedure you recommended.
