Thanks Shahid, that's great.

Also need to add that wifi reach has improved since 4.1 as I always get wifi in all parts of the house now. Yey!

Hey all, finally good news that 4.3 as finally arrived for the UK Unbranded SP. Everything on the phone seems to be much better.

I have just a small query from my fellow long awaited 4.3 sufferers.

Can any one confirm that when the screen begins to timeout the brightness very slightly flickers down to dim before the screen turns off?

I know as part of the update the screen resolution as been improved for easier viewing in different light conditions, maybe this is why the brightness slightly flickers down when the screen times out???

Here's to a new era of the SP.

Hi biggestted. Isn't it great to see 4.3 on UK unbranded. Working well too! I updated last night so this morning is the first time I've had my phone in the office. We have big rows of ceiling lights that always caused my screen to flicker if I had it in auto adapt mode. I can confirm it doesn't flicker anywhere near as much but it does do a quick flicker to dim about 3-5 seconds before the screen times out and goes to black.

Hi SarahES, yes totally agree it's very nice to finally have the update. It's seems to be working very well and the new look of the software I think is great.

Thank you for confirming the brightness flicker when the screen starts to time out, I've also noticed the brighter your surroundings are the less it flickers when timing out.

Have a great day with 4.3 Smiling_Face_with_open_mouth_&_closed_Eyes

Since updating my phone yesterday i have not had any bother with it and it is running a lot smoother compared to before even though it's still early days. I am relatively pleased with being this update even after waiting for so long for it.

Hi!

Ever since I bought the phone, my Xperia SP had a notification saying the firmware needs to update. Whenever I clicked it and tried to update, the phone would download it, restart, and then had a pop-up saying the update failed. I have tried using Sony's PC companion which said that my phone firmware is "up to date" even though my Android version is 4.1.2 and build number 12.0.A.1.237, which I figured by doing some research, isn't the latest update. Then I tried Sony's update service which would lead me through certain steps (turn off your phone, wait 30 sec, connect the phone to computer and hold down volume button while doing so) but it didn't even detect my phone no matter how many times I tried.

I couldn't find anything useful on forums and would be very thankful if someone could help me out.

Yes, i too have received an update of 4.3 just out of the blue. i had 4G problems...lack of 4G...back in my post of 22nd june, and THREE gave me a great refund and ongoing discount Slightly_smiling_Face so i stayed with them. Mobi works much better overall now, tho 4G signal and uasge not that great after all the fuss. but as im paying less the 3G is just as good for my needs. It appears tho i was slagging off three it was actually effin sony problem after all. i spent hours trying to sort the 4G problem with three. Thanks sony, but no more products from you. the Viao laptop sound is crap and yor 3D tv is simply, mediocre! I have had unuf!

Hello,

I would like to know why the update for Android 4.3 never showed up in my device. Is it because I live in Brazil? If so, is there any way to update it manually since this version is already running on SP?

Thank you.
