Does anybody know why the 4.3 update is taking long to reach unbranded sp?? I really can't understand the hold up!!

I got bored of waiting and annoyed with the high battery drain..

I flashed the USA Generic firmware... Battery now lasts twice as long as the last 4.1.2 update!!

Jelly Bean 4.3 has finally arrived for unbranded UK Sony Xperia SP's as shown by the user above. I have just updated my phone and everything is running really well. The performance of the phone is far better and the user interface has vastly improved. Overall I am very happy with the update, it's just a shame it was released so late for UK unbranded users. I say this because now there is very little chance that the Xperia SP will receive KitKat 4.4.2 as the update windrow is nearing to a close (October 2014). And we all know how long android updates take.

I've just eventually received the 4.3 update, i'm updating this very second but god knows if it actually update to it instead of reverting back to 4.1.2

Ok so I've updated my UK unbranded SP to. 205 and I'm generally very happy. I love the interface and the text seems crisper. I've had no lag, swype keyboard is improved, heating is about the same so far (I.e. Gets warm when playing games) and while I prefer the swype function and that it now learns from what you've written in texts and twitter etc., there are some slight nuances to the keyboard and writing that might take some time to get used to. One question I have to others, what is your RAM usage like? I've got only 200 free and its using at least 600 which is more than it used to.

It's good that your RAM is nearly full as android is using it as a cache to speed things up. Google "do you need a android task killer" to get a better picture of what I mean.

Also I have about 200 RAM free with about 600 usage which is a good sign as I mentioned above.
