I would say to take the Xperia S out of the equation...
Now between the SL and the SP, well it depends on what do you expect to use and take advantage out of your phone...
Here is my quick comparisson:
Advantages of Xperia SL:
- Better Camera with more MP.
- Higher density screen (though this is almost unnoticeable)
- Capacitive Buttons gives you more screen area useable most of the time.
- 32GB of internal storage
- 1.3 MP of front camera (its way better for self pictures than VGA)
- HDMI port. Allows you to be plugged to TV and also use the microUSB port for something else like USB OTG (external flash drives), plugging a mouse, keyboards etc.
Advantages of Xperia SP:
- Newer CPU. Faster performance overall and will receive future upgrades 4.3, probably 4.4.
- Newer GPU. Adreno 320, which is excelent for gaming and graphic intense applications.
- Play Station controller compatible, allows you to use your Dual Shock Controller for some games.
- MicroSD slot (but only 8GB of internal memory)
- Screen buttons with a bigger screen, allows to use full screen for some apps that can hide buttons such as Album, Video players, etc.
- Way more battery
And aestethically I would say that the Xperia SP is gorgeous.
At the end is the typical decision of "Do I want a last year flagship or this year's midranger?"
Hope this helps you decide.
Go with SP. It has newer hardware and new device when compared to S and SL. SP can be upgraded Android 4.3.

dquilon gave you a great answer, but still, you should know this. The 8 MP from SP are supposed(it is not sure) to be better than the 12 MP from SL,because the camera lens are better and the image sensor(Exmor RS),it has HDR integrated and also the hardware(processor, gpu) is newer and more powerful. Also,be careful that many people complain about Xperia SP touchscreen problem, the touchscreen does not respond when the phone is on an horizontal surface.
Hello Alexdon...
I am aware that the 8MP is newer and it does offer HDR, however, recently I started doing deep camera comparissons between older and newer Android and iPhone models and I found that the 12MP camera in the Xperia S, Acro S and SL is superior to even newer models with 13MP such as Xperia Z in some scenarios. It is also superior to the iPhone 4S, 5 and 5c camera... but it is on par with the iPhone 5s (but the later is better for low light)
The 12MP camera from Xperia S, SL and acro S is also comparable to the 8MP model of Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 Mini...
And the best image reproduction I have seen is the Galaxy S4 13 MP shots.
(Sadly the Xperia Z1 is good but it has more noise than the Galaxy S4, though the 8MP shots are great)
But if you go to Amazon reviews or PhoneArena User Reviews of the Xperia SP phone you will find amazing ratings with the exception of the Camera. The Xperia SP and Xperia L have a camera that is not up to par with other 8MP cameras found in phones.
As for the problems facing Xperia SP users...
In this forums we ALL experiences some issues with our devices, that is what most likely brought us here, so I can only give my opinion based on what would be the experience IF both phones works as they should.
thank you for these answers it helped me much and i think i will buy sp
I am aware that if the phones work as they should,Xperia SP would be superior if we consider the most important aspects of the phone. And also,I did not contradict you,I said your answer was very good,I liked it.My opinion about your "research" is that you are doing a good job, maybe somehow your information will be able to help on developing devices. The Galaxy S4 is too good for any competitor, but I have not seen the Z1 photos, which may be superior.
