Please let me know if you still experience this if you switch from "Face detection" to "Single auto focus". The Face detection is set as default but it requires more capacity so this may cause lower performance.

1080p recording still lags and looks choppy even after both Face Detection and Stablization are turned off.

It lags even after switching to "Single Auto Focus" from "Face Detection". I've tried it.

I just got the information that the concerned team are working on improving this for next software update. Unfortunately I don't have any timings for the release.

it's really imortant to solve that issue, bug, problem or ugly expirience, after all the camera is one of the main features of thai smartphone, in fact is the camera that makes this phone so great

I checked videos recorded in 720p and 1080p.

actually in JB the 720p is OK. but 1080p is recorded in 18 frames per second instead of the main 30 fps ! this causes the video look choppy. with ICS there was no such issue.

one other good feature available in ICS camcorder, was the "infinity focus" option which unfortunately has been missed in JB camcorder. It was helpfull to reduce the focus lags in low light conditions.

I hope sony guys fix these two issues in next updates. because the full HD camcorder of xperia SL was one of main parameters that encouraged me to buy it !!!

Today I recorded a short video 1900х1080 specifically to test the camera. Then he looked at the properties of the video: Average - 18fps. Min. 4.948fps. Max. 30.748fps. 18fps video at medium comes with jerks. It is necessary to wait for the update.
