Xperia P - Restarting again and again

Hi,

Yesterday i was trying to access contacts on my phone and was flashing that "Not responsing", so i tried to reboot and afterthat it has not stopped rebooting.

What is the main reason ?

My phone is still under warrenty. I am a technical person and have a knowledge of computer softwares. Should i update it with SUS or should i give in Sony service centre?

Will my warrenty void if some installation goes wrong?

What are the steps for SUS?

Is there any other reason or any other way to make it work?

Hello. No warranty will be void if repairing with sony update service.Try a repair first and if nothing improves take it to sony centre. You can find sus here http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/ .All the steps needed are provided by the application. Before doing any repair, have you tried forced shut down?press power button+vol up until the phone vibrates three times.

Yes, i have already done that. but nothing seems working.

BTW what is the reason of this hallelujah?

Also i dont have any backup of my internal memory nor internal disk. will my data remain?

Is there any way to take backup at this stage where my phone is not staring up?

What hallelujah?your data on the phone memory will be erased, but what is on the sd card will remain, unless you do a factory settings reset. You cannot backup anything now that your phone is not starting.

I have no idea, the software could have cracked,it is not the first time.it is full of bugs.Have you tried connecting to a wall charger and turning the phone on?Does it even turn on?

Yes Alexdon, i have tried connecting with charger but not working.

As soon as i connect with charger, it shows the charging indicator. then i try to restart by POWER button as well as POWER + VOL UP button(one vibrate). Phone starts with SONY and XPERIA LOGO flashes on and it again reboots after 2-3 secs.

Ok,i recommend repairing the software if you are ok with loosing some data from phone memory. But you can also take the phone to sony centre if you are more comfortable with that.

I had the same problem that you are facing now. In my case I took my phone to the Sony care and they tried to fix it by the help of software but that didn't workout and they told me that the problem is in phone's motherboard so it needs to be changed and all my data is going to be lost and there is no way to save it. Fortunately my phone was in warrenty so it didn't cost me a penny but it took around 10 days untill i got my phone back with new motherboard.
