Greetings for the day.
I had seen the promos and advertisement of Sony xperia go, I specially want to quote "The first number refers to protection against solid objects; the second refers to protection against liquids"(as mentioned on Sony India website against Sony Xperia Go), which made my decision to purchase xperia go one month ago(from Paragon Udaipur, Inv. No: 12/11014).
Unfortunately my handset dropped from study table (Height 2.5 feet), and phone glass cracked. I had contacted the Sony regional customer care, they told me it would not cover under warrenty. Product does not even fulfil its feature SHATTER PROOF SCREEN & SCRACH RESISTENT.It am feeling being cheated.
I would request Sony to please look into this matter and provide me screen replacement.

What happend?
Nothing special, dropped out of my pocket on the floor.

Hi oliver ive dropped it one and half meter on the rocks and nothing happened r u sure that its one meter on the floor or from the 3rd floor....a motorcycle hit me and the phone was flying in the air and hit the street and also nothing happened so i hope u didnt test it from very high altitude and i hope that u r not one of crapsung fans who tries to destroy phones and to fake everything,moreove if u r onest, then from where did u get ur phone?? if it is from sony stores go check the warranty...
The phone fell off the pocket of the trousers on a hard surface (cement pavement). According to the pictures the edge was hit.
The glass of the phone is not protected - there's a 1mm plastic frame which doesn't protect the screen There should rather be some shock-resistant material.
The warranty doesn't cover mechanical damage.
I'm just telling you this so that you don't have unreasonable expectations about this "outdoor" phone
I just bought my sony xperia go less than 3 weeks ago. It fell from my bed while I was charging it. and the screen broke a lot worse than yours. my bed isn't even over 2 feet.
Were you able to have yours fixed? What did you do and how much did you pay? What bothers me is that I went to Sony's service center and they are charging of about 60% of the phone brand new price just to replace the screen. I don't think this is right. This is my 4th Sony phone and it is absolutely the weakest! Please help me out.

approximately 60% of the phone's brand new cost.
it doesn't surprise me that they are charging you so much money, you pretty much have 2 options 1) pay them or 2) replace it yourself, if that was my phone I'll replace it myself.
That's the problem. They won't sell me anything. They said they would have to ship my phone to their main service center and they claimed that everything needs to be replaced which is why they are charging so much.
