Video issue

Hi. I just got myself a SE Xperia S a few days ago, and I'm not sure if this is a setting or if I just need to convert the file, but I thought I'd ask here.

I transferred a few videos over, and the quality is amazing (1280x720 .mkv files), but there is one problem, the video does not display the subtitles. Wondering if this is due to me just transferring directly without converting the file to another program, or if's because the player does not read the subtitles as vlc (or other programs) does? Or maybe tis a setting in the phone somewhere?

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance on the matter.

Best regards.

Just wondering if there are some apps that are highly recommended to get? I haven't downloaded any apps as of this moment, just been using the phone with what I got it with.

Hello Smaaen

The native video app does not have a subs function..

Personally I use an app called MX Video player, it has a good function for displaying Subs.

Plus it even lets you accelerate or decrease the speed of the subs so you can properly sync them to the movie.

Hope this helps.

Francis.

Thank you for the swift reply, Francis. Downloaded the MX Video Player and subtitles work perfectly now.

Not sure how the system here works, if you "close" the topic or not, but if it remains open. If you have any other useful/good apps you could recommend, I'd be most appreciative.

Once again, thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Smaaen
