using ps 3 controller

Does anyone know if we can use the xperia charger to recharge ps3 controller? I'm hoping to buy a ps3 controller for use in mobile gaming with xperia t2 ultra dual.

As far as I know, the PS3-controller uses Mini-USB and not Micro-USB (which our Xperia phones does). Thereby, I would suggest that you use the cable that you receive in the box for your controller to charge it.

Ok thanks for the help. But what i really want to know is that can we use the xperia charger to charge the controller? I mean i'll be using the mini usb cable supplied with the controller like you said but can we recharge the controller by the charger, my charger has a detachable micro usb cable. The micro usb cable isn't fixed to the charger so.. The usb cable for my xperia charger has a normal size usb at one end i.e. to be connected to the xperia charger, and a micro usb to the other i.e. to be connected to my phone. So if i use the mini usb cable supplied with the ps3 controller by connecting its normal size usb to my charger and the mini usb to the controller can it recharge the controller?

Ok, then I understand. I actually tried to connect a PS3-controller with a Xperia charger (the adapter to wall socket) but there was no reaction at all. So I don't think it's possible to use this method to charge the controller.
