USB device not recognized when connecting to computer

Hi, I am a user of Xperia J. For the past few days, I have been having problems connecting my phone to my laptop. Sometimes, it says" USB device not recognised". sometimes, nothing at all. HELP IS NEEDED!

Try another USB cable and another USB port, may your socket has loose contact...

Try also to

- change USB connection mode (MSC and MTP)

- remove SD card, if inserted

I have the same problem when i connect my phone to my PC.. Tried the magnetic dock as well but it didnt work.
