Upgrade Android 4.0.4 on a Sony Tipo ST21i2?

Hi there.

I have an empty Sony Tip ST21i2 ith Android 4.0.4 and Build 11.0.A.6.8.

The software is (concerning the phone-information) up-to-date.

As the old Android versions did not allow to move apps or big contents to the memory card, I would like to install a newer (the newest?) Android to that phone.

Is this possible, what Android would be the best, and how accomplish this step?

Ich habe hier ein Sony Tip ST21i2 mit Android 4.0.4 und Build 11.0.A.6.8 liegen.
Da sich bei alten Androidversionen Apps (wie Offline-Karten oder ähnlich) wohl nicht auf Speicherkarten verschieben lassen, habe ich das Telefon nie genutzt. Ich würde gerne mal versuchen eine neue Androidversion zu installieren. Unter Softwareupdate ist alles Up-To-Date.
Kann ich dies manuell machen, welche Version wäre die Bestmögliche?

I'm afraid that Xperia Tipo has reached end of support. That means among other things that it is no longer possible to do software updates or repairs. I am sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

Hi Emil. I can imagine official support ended. But I have been reading that it should be possible to root the phone and apply a newer Android. Is this untrue, or is there just no information provided here in an official support forum?
