Hi Everyone,
I am using Xperia S and my corporate e-mail account has stopped working post the Jelly Bean update for Xperia S. I was able to use mail (exchange Active sync) before on ICS without problem however it stopped immediately after the update.
While activating active Sync it asks for device activation and then stay on it for ages and doesn't complete which is why i am unable to activate my corporate email on my phone. I have checked with the IT team and they have confirmed that the active sync is activated from the background and i should be able to setup email.
Please help

Will there be a ptcrb process or will we be able to update via pcc directly?
I don't have any release date i'm afraid and as always, the new update will need approvals and rollout may differ between different markets and operators.
Thanks Rickard,
Does that mean that with current update we will not be able to setup MS Exchange email. If that is the case was Encryption working fine on ICS if yes please let me know how can i downgrade my phone back to ICS to be able to use e-mail.
It is such a shame not to be able to use e-mail on good phone like this.
Thanks,
Aashish
At the moment you would need to change the policy on the server or try using another client (RoadSync, Moxier, Nitrodesk) and see if it works. It's not possible to downgrade using Update Service or PC Companion.

Hi Rickard
is this update just for xperia S/Sl?
what about xperia acro s ? because i have a problem (video recording lag) with my xperia acro s after updating it to 6.2.b.0.211.
Thanks.
I don't have any confirmation for acro S but i suspect it will receive the same update. I will try to get some information about this.
Hi Richard,
when is the update going to be released?
and are all the issues mentioned in the earlier post resolved or not
Hello Xperia team.
I'd like to add the problems i see with jelly bean compared to ics
Sound quality - I'm pretty sure since upgrading to JB, the sound quality has really been degraded.
In ics the sound was pretty decent, loud and undistored, in JB, my speakers now sound busted when playing music and ringtones seem to have a pretty low volume even when everything is set to maximum compared to ics, it sounds like the sound is being driven to overdrive but on low level is the way i would describe it. please get this fixed because alarms and ringtones aren't as useful and unrealiable now.
Battery - the battery seems to be drained very quick comapred to ics.ics would last around 3-4 days on standby with usage here and there birghtness turned down, same scenario on jelly bean it would last 2 days max.
Notification light - sometimes the lights don't turn off after a notification either during charge or when a message is recieved, red light blue light green light, not sure what casues this. but defintiely is a JB problem.
Other problems i think have been brought up already.
oh and just 1 visual thing is how the quick access widget looks pretty damn ugly now. It has this unpolished gradient look to it now comapred to what i can remember being just a black solid background with neon icons
Hope these get fixed for the next update, or is there a way to downgrade to ics ?
