Unable to delete sync contacts from xperia sp

Hi I have my contacts in sync with my facebook account and have used a filter so that only ones with contact numbers show up. There are some contacts that I don't want on my phone, mainly people who I'm friends with on facebook but not that close too. They are just pointless numbers that I am never going to use but I seem to be unable to delete them. I have tried going into the contact and pressing delete and selecting multiple contacts and deleting them that way but I just get a message saying that I can't delete them. Does anyone know why this is or how to solve it?

I had this problem to and I now have about 200+ contacts, I went on to the filter and went down to facebook and then there should be a box with a tick and it should say 'all contacts' above it, if you press that box the tick should go and when you go back onto contacts they should not be there but they aren't deleted.

I don't think you can delete the contacts anyway because it stays linked with facebook all the time and it can't separate that data with all the other info on your friends profile but im not sure so don't take my word for it and I hope I helped
