Transfer of App from Phone Memory to SD Car

Hi,

I have just bought Sony Xperia SP in India.

I have installed few apps and games on the phone.

I wish to transfer these apps and games on SD card however there is no provision of moving the same from Phone memory to SD card. The only option I could see was transfer to photos/ music & Videos.

Could you please suggest any option for moving the games & apps from Phone's Internal memory to SD card (a feature which is available in Xperia Neo).

I tried using few apps available on play store like App2SD etc however I was unable to move the games & apps to SD card.

Would appreciate your solution on the above.

There's an alternative but you will have to root your phone

why am i not able to transfer internal memory apps to the sd card and can't even use sd card as default for downloading apps from the playstore

Because Android 4.1.x "not want it"... Read other similar threads on this forum and you will know why this is currently impossible...

You can not transfer apps to sd card, you will have to root your phone and install an app such as apps2sd or link2sd as well as partition your SD card

I'm using Sygic as navigation software and after the last update I looked for a way to copy the maps to the sd-card. On the Sygic site I found two different solutions. One was move the maps directory to the sd-card and change the entries in the settings.ini and the second way was to move the whole directory sygic (this means the complete app) to the sd-card. I tried the first solution but there was a problem to find the correct logical name for the sd-card for the relative path so I tried to move (not copy) the whole directory.

The navigation works on the sd-card without any problems. Are there other guys who have the same experience with other apps?

hello everybody .. I have a problem with my xperia sp, because I want to move some aplications to sd card but the cellphone doesn´t have the option celphone doesn´t let me so I need you to help me ... thanks

Hi, not all apps can be move to the SD card. You can't move those without the option.

It's "feature" of Android 4.1 and newer, not fault of Sony. In default, Android 4.1.x does not allows transfer apps on SD card....

Jarda is correct, that option was removed from the newer Android version OS.
