Touchscreen does not response in random places.

Hallo everyone, recently I'm having a issue of non resopnsive touchscreen.Sometimes the touchscreen dosen't respond to touch or sweeps. It happens in different parts of the screen at different times.

As you can see the non-responsive section keeps changing everytime. But at lest one section will always remain unresponsive.

It's really annoyng while typing anything on the virtual keyboard as lot of taps are ignored.

I tried factory reset but that did not solve the problem then I tried to reinstall the firmware using SUS but that also didn't change anything

I'm currently on ICS. The problem started a few weeks after updating to ICS.

The phone is Unrooted stock. I also don't want to flash any firmware (Don't want to lose my warrenty)

Is this a hardware problem? Should I take it to the service centre? If it's a hardware problem why the non responsive section keeps changing?

Like has already been said in this thread, take it to a Sony Repair Centre. They will replace the panel.

i have the problem in my Xperia U which is similar like this but i can able to make straight line easily no lacking in between .but some time it's not response and  i m totally unable to draw and then able to draw after that i touch the screen not only these also the lower touch button have the same problem what can i do there is a hardware problem or software ??? my phone is not updated to ics yet firmware version is 6.0.b.3.188 help me please..........
