Terrible call sound quality

Hello,

My new Xperia Sola has a disturbing call sound quality, because I constantly hear "cracks" when other people are talking.

Tried changing xLoud, didn't solve problem.

I'm afraid changing to ice cream android won't solve the problem, and will lag my phone badly: I also have a XPeria U (with great sound quality, by the way) but made a huge mistake upgrading to ICS, it's terribly slow...

Anyone experienced this crackling call sound with SOLA?

thank you in advance

Crackling sound indeed...

But this already existed in ALL XPERIA sola throughout the world since stock Gingerbread ROM...

...and has NOT yet to be fixed with the "recent" ICS update...

C'mon Sony, someone here said that flashing XPERIA U ICS .100 update solves this...

So, when is our sola .100 update coming?

xloud is for the loudspeaker (louder and rich sound)

perhaps the issue is poor network coverage or an old SIM card

also there are other threads on the same topic, please post there; use the search bar > find the threads > you might find answers, suggestions, etc.

Thanks guys!

Not a poor network coverage or bad SIM card, because it only happens with this cellphone...

I started using my 10 years old NOKIA since it had a better sound (!!)

After your answer, I've returned the xPeria to the store, got my money back. Not losing my time (and yours) trying to solve Sony's problems!

The same problem with my new Xperia L =((  All those "cracks" from the opponents...  I've read on forums it's a software problem that  can be solved with some other kernel and so on, but I've got no clues of that stuff and don't want to.

I'll have to contact the seller tomorrow, I guess, though I love my L in general.
