flaps is what cover the usb port, SIM/SD cards, 3.5mm jack. Your phone got wet, what you have to do now is

1) open all the flaps and remove the SD and SIM cards

2) place your phone on a bowl of rice

3) let it dry out for 1 or 2 days

Warranty doesn't cover this, unless there's something wrong with the flaps/water seals. you could take it to a Sony repair center and request a vacuum test.

You have to check the water damage indicators, in the Xperia Z are inside each flap, I'm not sure about this phone, this indicators are white rectangle, if they get in contact with water they will turn pink or red.

Re: Warranty Issue with Sony Xperia Z‏

Please be aware that the notification about the flap is not tied to any sensor for the flaps themselves and if select a certain option when this displays the message will not display again. The vacuum test Uliwooly has mentioned is a way for the repair agent to test if there is any fault with the seals or tabs that could have made the handset more susceptible to damage, if it has passed this test then the only way for water to get in would be for one of the tabs to not be closed correctly when it was exposed to water.

Dear sir ,

first : I am sure 100 % I was closing the phone flaps correctly .

Second : I left my phone in blow of rice as you told me and I have just tried  it now but unfortunately it doesn't work properly

I got a new message from the phone (the phone will shutdown due to high temperature)

and the phone shut down

any advise for this message ?

It sounds like there is some severe internal damage if the handset is overheating like that. I can only advise that you cease  using/charing the handset and contact your local Xperia Care team so that they may assist you in getting the handset assessed by an authorised repair agent.

Good morning sir ,

I waked up today and try my phone and I found that it works alright perfect except the over high temperature

I got battery widget on the phone , it gives me really high temperature reach 65 c , before my problem the maxi temp I reach was 46 c , then it shut down . So your advice works successful but I just need another advise for my current error .

Thank you very much
