Stand-by mode does what it wants

Hi, I own a Xperia V since 6 weeks now. Although it is slower than the Samsung Galaxy SII, I am quite happy with it. However, when the Xperia V is in the stand-by mode, regularly - but infrequently - suddenly the screen turns "on" and either the start-screen to enter PIN or the coulourful "wave" (pause?) screen appears. During a day this happens about 10 times with inconsistent and random frequency.
Does any one know how to solve this inconvenient and battery killing issue?

Thanks in advance,
Olivier64

I think your phone is rebooting randomly, and sometimes you see the final step (enter pin), while other time you see the boot animation (waves). If after the waves animation you also get to the enter pin stage, then it  probabiliy  was a reboot.

There are many situations that may cause these reboots:

- constant LTE signal failure (your V doesn't like that)

- 3rd-party apps not behaving well

- (unsupported) installed custom kernel not fully tested

- (unsupported) cpu governor too agressive

Anyway, it's a good idea that you backup your data and do the updating/repairing process for the phone software, using PC Companion:
